MINT celebrates World Water Day with films, music, art and more

Each year World Water Day is celebrated around the globe to raise awareness about the importance of freshwater and advocate for sustainable management of the Earth’s water resources.

In Toronto, The Made IN Toronto (MINT) Film Festival hopes to draw attention to the cause by a hosting a water-themed evening of film screenings, music and art along with a one-night-only photo exhibit hosted by WWF-Canada.

Internationally acclaimed water activist Tony Clarke will be speaking and comedianDerek Forgie will hit the stage with water-related wisecracks.

In addition to promoting World Water Day, MINT will also be celebrating one year of social and environmental film activism.

MINT anniversary and World Water Day event will be held at the ROM, March 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance/$17.50 at the door/$13 for students/seniors.
