A Special Filmed Screening: A Fractured Land

Fractured Land won the Best BC Film award and the Vancouver International Film Festival Canadian Audience Award last year. Produced in association with CBC’s documentary Channel and Knowledge Network, it presents the intensely personal human story of a young First Nations warrior and lawyer confronting hydraulic fracking, resource politics and Canada’s dark colonial legacy.  Its executive producer, Mark Achbar, was the driving force behind the two top-grossing Canadian feature documentaries – Manufacturing Consent, and The Corporation. The Council of Canadians, Hamilton Chapter, presents a special World Water Day screening of this remarkable film on Tuesday, March 22 at 294 James Street North in cooperation with the Hamilton Blue Dot Movement. Blue Dot presentations begin at 6:30 pm and the film starts at 7:30 pm. The suggested donation for the film is $5.00.
